Case Study: Concordium

Introduction:

EkoLance collaborated with Concordium to drive developer engagement and foster innovation within the Web3 ecosystem. Through a series of strategic initiatives, we successfully onboarded, trained, and empowered developers to explore and build on the Concordium blockchain, leveraging its unique identity and compliance features.

Phase 1: Basic Training and Developer Challenge

Objective: The goal of this phase was to onboard developers into the Concordium ecosystem by offering both hands-on training and a competitive challenge. The training aimed to empower developers with practical skills while motivating them to apply what they learned through a fun, competitive event. This initiative was designed for both beginner and advanced Rust developers in the Web3 space.

• Training Overview:
  • We hosted a Concordium Developer Training, focusing on Rust basics and How to Develop Smart Contracts on Concordium. This training served as a foundation, preparing developers for the subsequent developer challenge.
  • The program was accessible to both beginner and advanced Rust developers looking to deepen their skills in the Web3 space.
  • To ensure participants were ready for the challenge, we included an entry quiz to assess their understanding before diving into the training content.

Impact:

• Registrations: A total of 511 participants signed up for the training, showing strong interest in learning about Concordium’s ecosystem.
• Challenge Submissions: Following the training, 112 developers registered for the developer challenge, with 58 submitting completed projects. This showed a high level of engagement and commitment among the participants.

This program provided an excellent opportunity for developers to not only learn but also earn while gaining hands-on experience in coding and deepening their understanding of Concordium’s platform. The combination of training and a competitive challenge fostered a collaborative learning environment, empowering developers to expand their Web3 skillset in a practical, real-world context.

Phase 2: Supply Chain Tracker Workshop

Objective: To provide developers with targeted skills to build a decentralized application (dApp) and prepare them for participation in the Concordium ID Connect Hackathon.

• Workshop Highlights:
  • Focused on building a "Supply Chain Tracker dApp" using Concordium blockchain.
  • Emphasized the use of Concordium’s identity features to address real-world supply chain management challenges.
  • Designed to equip developers with the necessary tools to compete effectively in the hackathon.
